Play and event room Putukrējums is our biggest project yet.

For this Play and event centre we made all the big wooden attractions in the playroom, as well as some additional elements in other rooms.

As with all our furniture, the play room is made using the finest woods and plywood, child-safe paints and varnishes. The design of the furniture in the Play and event Centre respects the safety principles for playgrounds and toys!

Play and event room Putukrējums was designed according to sketches sent by the client, we carried out surveying, designing and manufacturing.

The small but important things

The design of the playground incorporates a number of important features that are not visible to customers, but which improve the comfort of use and provide additional safety and comfort.

The ball room has additional hatches for easy ball replacement and maintenance.

There is a hidden storage area under the stairs where you can store unwanted items.

The large wooden slide is made of curved birch plywood and is designed to be high so that children do not bump into the furniture on the opposite side when sliding down the slide.

The gymnastics – Swedish wall has additional wooden pegs in the round beams, to prevent the beams from turning around when children use the gymnastics wall.

The slide and the round beams are varnished, as a varnished surface is more resistant to wear than paint. It is particularly appreciated when frequent and actively used surfaces need to be treated.

The first step of the wooden staircase leading to the second floor of the attraction is 40 cm high, this is to ensure that very young children and babies cannot make their way up to the second floor without parental supervision.

About the structure of the play and event room

The idea was to create one side for boys to play and the other side for little girls to play, decorating and placing the toys in the designated areas accordingly.

The shop counters and shelves are tailor-made according to customer’s preferences. The play shop/kitchen counter can be moved and repositioned.

The handrails on the second floor are made at a height that prevents children from falling over them.
