The accents of this beautiful housebed are painted in a beautiful grey-blue shade which, although it seems like a boy’s shade at first glance, could just as easily be suitable for a little girl’s bedroom.
In this case, the clients wanted 3 elements to be accentuated – the chest under the bed, the chimney, and the window in the wall.
For this bed we made a type 2 roof, a decorative wall made of plywood with a window embedded in it, and 2 bookshelves.
Bed is equipped with drawers on castors. The entrance and chimney are on the left side, the slats are canted, thin.
Every detail of the bed is carefully hand-finished, ensuring that every edge and corner is rounded and does not pose a risk of injury.
What materials are used for this housebed?
The cot is painted with child-safe, European-certified water-based paints. Only the finest materials are used – Premium-grade glued, branchless pine beams. The other timber we use is the finest birch plywood!
The front slats of the cot are removable over time. This is usually removed by parents when they want a “big kid” bed and no longer need a bed rail around the bed. Initially, however, the slats around the mattress are chosen by most parents.
The kids who sleep in our beds have mostly just grown out of their infant beds and need the slats not only for looks, but also for safety!
For this reason, we also recommend choosing a mattress no thicker than 16 cm. In this case there is a high enough grid above it for your little one to sleep safely!
We can make the size of the bed to fit your mattress and your needs! The most requested sizes are 70*140, 80*160, 90*180, 90*200 cm. Mattresses in these sizes are usually available from mattress manufacturers or can be ordered.
