Holiday center Putukrējums

Putukrējums Leisure Center – we made all the big wooden constructions for this center, as well as some additional elements in other rooms.

As with all our work, the furniture for the holiday center is made from the finest timber and plywood, using child-safe paints and varnishes. The design of the furniture in the recreation center respects the safety principles for playgrounds and toys!

The project was developed from sketches sent by the client, we carried out surveying, measuring, design and manufacturing process.

The design incorporates a number of features that provide additional safety and comfort.

The ball room has additional hatches for easy ball replacement and maintenance.

There is a hidden storage area under the stairs where you can store unwanted items.

The slide is a curved birch plywood and its height is calculated to prevent children from bumping into furniture on the opposite side when sliding down it.

The Swedish wall has wooden pegs in the round rods, this was done to prevent the rods from turning around when the children use the Swedish wall.

The slide and the round rods are varnished, as a varnished surface finish is much more durable than a colored finish, especially when it comes to finishing surfaces that are frequently and actively used.

The first step of the staircase leading to the second level is 40 cm high, to prevent young children and toddlers from going up to the second level without parental supervision.

The idea was to create one side for boys to play on, and the other side for little girls to play on.

The shop counter and shelves are tailor-made, can be moved and repositioned.

The railing on the second level is made at a height that prevents children from falling over it.
